Leave it to Anna: Primrose Hill Edition
This week we are exploring Primrose Hill, with friends from out of town. Highlights included visiting Paddington's house, consuming delicious pastries, and a great lunch at The Engineer pub.
Primrose Hill is a neighborhood I haven’t heard much about during previous visits to London, but it recently became our favorite area to explore. We usually walk there through Regents Park and the scenic view of the London skyline from the top of Primrose Hill (see the photo below) cannot be beat. While the park is usually full of people walking their dogs, running, hanging out with friends or just strolling, it doesn’t feel packed or overcrowded. Once you've worked up an appetite walking through the park, there are many great restaurants and cafes in the neighborhood just outside of the park gates. Our favorites so far included The Engineer Pub (founded in 1849) for upscale pub fare and Sam’s Cafe for cozy, home cooked dishes and great service.
